The name of the university is the Batam Institute of Technology, abbreviated as ITEBA, which is a private university that provides higher education consisting of academic education and professional education.
ITEBA was founded by the Vitka Foundation in collaboration with the Bandung Institute of Technology, with an Establishment Permit Decree from the KEMENRISTEKDIKTI Number 601/KPT/I/2017
ITEBA is located in Batam City, Riau Islands Province. It has two faculties, namely the Faculty of Industrial Technology with two study programs, namely Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management and the Faculty of Information Technology, namely Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Visual Communication Design and Mathematics. This aims to improve the quality and capability of human resources in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Therefore, the establishment of this Institute of Technology is accompanied by a name that corresponds to the priority of the field of science that will be developed.
